This opportunity offers a 13-week contract role starting in October, focused on remote Medication Therapy Management (MTM) consulting within a telehealth environment. The role is centered on delivering comprehensive telepharmacy services, supporting a multi-state outreach that is expanding rapidly to cover 30 to 40 states.

Work Schedule/Hours:

  • Remote position with flexible scheduling aligned with patient consultation demands during November through February surge periods.
  • Additional surge assignments expected in April, May, and July.
  • Location:

  • Remote, with Louisiana serving as the operational hub. Candidates licensed in Louisiana have enhanced opportunities for ongoing full-time work due to high patient volumes.
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual patient consultations via phone or video to perform Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) and Targeted Medication Reviews (TMRs), addressing medication side effects, adherence, and therapy-related questions.
  • Review prior authorizations, formulary exceptions, and step-therapy limits applying clinical guidelines and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers through secure messaging or calls to recommend formulary-aligned, cost-effective treatments.
  • Proactively reach out to patients and providers to close care gaps in chronic disease management.
  • Assist with formulary rule translation for PBM claims adjudication systems, supporting claims data review.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, telepharmacy regulations, and client contractual requirements, documenting all clinical activities accurately.
  • Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist licensure, preferably multi-state with a minimum of five state licenses from states including but not limited to Louisiana, Indiana, North Carolina, and Utah.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in PBM, managed care, or telehealth clinical pharmacy.
  • Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, drug utilization review, and formulary navigation.
  • Proficiency with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR), and PBM claims software.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaborative provider consultations.
