Travel Pharmacist – Hospital Opportunity in Southern Missouri
Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Start: Immediate (ASAP)
Duration: 13+ Weeks (with potential for extension)
Job Details:
Schedule: Rotating 8-hour shifts
Days: 7:00am–3:30pm
Evenings: 1:00pm–9:30pm
Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend from 9:00am–5:30pm
(Shifts are 8 hours each, giving you flexibility in your schedule.)
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee order verification and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians in daily tasks.
Provide pharmacokinetic dosing recommendations and adjustments.
Collaborate directly with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care.
Contribute to maintaining hospital safety standards by managing medication distribution.
Technology Used:
EPIC for electronic health record management
Pyxis for medication dispensing and inventory control
Ideal Candidate:
A Missouri Pharmacist license is required.
Approximately 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred, but we welcome candidates eager to step into the role.
Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
